What: 22nd Australian Scout Jamboree 2010
Scouts will handover 40 dog kennels constructed at WorldSkills Australia’s Try’a Trade program to RSPCA NSW at an official ceremony commencing at 11:30am. During the Jamboree, Scouts have participated in the Try’a Trade program which gives them the opportunity to try trades and skill based activities.
Scouts have had the chance to try their hand at carpentry and painting. They have been building 40 dog kennels to donate to the RSPCA.
The Try’a Trade activities have included welding, carpentry, landscaping, painting and decorating, cookery, floor laying, baking, beauty care, plumbing and many more. More than 10,000 Scouts will have tried some of these trades by the end of the jamboree.

Details: RSPCA NSW’s Executive Manager for Animal Wellbeing, Sue Hill. The RSPCA is bringing some dogs to test out the kennels and there will be plenty of Scouts in the Skills Village area.
