Australiana Village
Justice for Scouts!

Did you know there will be special court sessions at Australiana Village, where you will have the chance to bring your leaders to trial for the many irritating ways they may annoy you?
Have them charged with disturbing the peace because of their snoring or for child slavery because they made you wash all the dirty cooking pans! Are their weak jokes making you suffer too much mental torture?
Get even by making a citizen’s arrest and bringing them to trial. See them be publicly humiliated and subjected to the hash punishments suffered in colonial times, if they are found guilty!
Higher – Longer – Faster – Stronger… Richer???

Yes – you could strike it rich when you pan for gold at Australiana Village, the Jamboree’s own historic recreation of colonial life in Australia.
As well as discovering if there really is gold “in them there hills”, you can make candles, try your hand at blacksmithing, watch the courthouse trials, see convicts flogged and much more. Experience some of the fun and see what life was like in this by-gone era.
Do you want to be a Blacksmith?

Ever wanted to bend and shape steel? If so, make sure you visit the Blacksmith’s Shed at Australiana Village, the Jamboree’s own historic recreation of colonial life in Australia – from about 200 years ago!
There are many other interesting and exciting things to do at the village, such as gold panning and candle making, as history comes to life!
Leaders! We are also seeking adults with metal trade or blacksmithing skills to be part of this exciting and entertaining activity where scouts can try their hand at these traditional skills. For further details, please contact Michael Thomson on
