The Australian Gang Show at AJ2010 was on Saturday January 9 and streamed live in a Jamboree first.

With a cast of over 200 from all over Australia and New Zealand, the Australian Jamboree Gang Show is a massive, once only performance put on by members of Gang Show’s and Showtimes from all over Australia and New Zealand.

DAY 3 – 22nd Australian Scout Jamboree starts (Opening ceremony)

Official activities start at the 22nd Australian Scout Jamboree in Appin Sydney.

More than 13,000 Scouts, leaders and volunteers have pitched tents for the 10 day Jamboree. Scouts from all around Australia and 26 countries will be joined by Her Excellency NSW Governor Marie Bashir to officially open the Jamboree at the opening ceremony in the main arena at 7:00pm on Monday 4 January 2010. Reduced speed limit in place on Appin Road

RTA and local police wish to alert all vehicles travelling near Cataract Scout Park in Appin today (Saturday 2 January) and tomorrow (Sunday 3 January) of heavy traffic and a reduced speed zone.

The NSW Police and RTA have reduced the speed zone on Appin Road passing the Cataract Scout Park in Appin to 60 km. Read more…

Her Excellency NSW Governor Marie Bashir will open Scouting Australia’s 22nd Australian Jamboree 2010 (AJ2010) on Monday 4 January 2010 at 7:00 p.m. (EST). The opening ceremony will be held at Cataract Scout Park in Sydney, NSW.  Read more…

Free Buses and Trains for 13,000 Scouts

Scouts Australia (NSW) welcomed the NSW Minister of Transport David Campbell’s offer of free transport on buses and trains for all participants attending the 22nd Australian Jamboree – 2010.

Scouts, leaders and volunteers will travel for free on all buses and trains in NSW from Tuesday 5 through to Wednesday 13 January 2010.

Grant De Fries, Camp Chief/Chief Commissioner of Scouts Australia (NSW) welcomed the NSW Government’s support of the jamboree. Read more…
