International

Information on applying to go to AJ2010.

Eligability to attend.

Scouts:

  • Must be in the Scout section.
  • Must be an invested Scout.
  • Must have camped under canvas as a Scout for 10 nights, at least 3 of them to be consecutive. Camping with family or school will not be considered.
  • Must be 11 years of age as at 4th January 2010
  • Must not have attained the age of 15 years on or before the 4th January 2010.
  • Must have been in the Scout section for more than 12 months.
  • Must be recommend as suitable to attend by their Scout Leader, Group Leader and Contingent Leader
  • Must meet any requirements, that their National Scout Association has for their members to attend International Jamborees

Junior Service Leaders – Venturers

  • Registered members of a Venturer Unit
  • 16 years of age on the 4th January 2010 and not older than 18 years by 14 January 2010
  • Have good communication skills, experience of activities, a desire to provide service to Scouts
  • Must be recommended by their Unit Council, Group Leader and the Contingent leader

Rovers

The eligibility criteria for Rovers:

  • Registered members of a Rover Crew at least 18 years of age, but no older than 26 years, at 1st January 2010 will be accepted as Service Leaders.
  • Must be recommended as suitable to attend by their RA/Group Leader or next appropriate Level of Commissioner, and approved by the Contingent Leader.

Leaders

The eligibility criteria for Leaders are:

  • Must hold a Certificate of Adult Appointment as at 27 November 2009.
  • Must be recommended as suitable to attend by their Group Leader or next appropriate Level of Commissioner, and approved by the Contingent Leader.

All applicants must be recommended by their National Association as suitable members of their Contingent.

How to apply

Please down load the Jamboree Application form and complete all sections. Ensure your parents or guardians sign the indemnity section of the application form. Leaders and Rovers sign can sign for themselves. All Leaders and Rovers must complete the Prohibited Employment Declaration Form. Please read this section of the form.

Forward the completed form and required payments to your National Contingent.

Independent Travellers.

Please down load the Jamboree Application form and complete all sections. Ensure your parents or guardians sign the indemnity section of the application form. Leaders and Rovers sign can sign for themselves. All Leaders and Rovers must complete the Prohibited Employment Declaration Form. Please read this section of the form.

Forward the completed Jamboree Application form. A copy your International Letter of Introduction must be attached and full payment in Australian dollars.

Cost

The international Jamboree Fee is $535 Australian Dollars for both Leaders and Youth Members

Closing Date for International Applications

All independent International Attendees must have their form and full payment to the Deputy Director International AJ 2010 no later than –
27 November 2009

All International Contingents must have their all their application forms and full payments to the Deputy Director International AJ2010 no later than:

  • Deposit of 30% of the Jamboree Fee by – 27 November 2009
  • Final payment by – November 30th 2009
